happened to all of us. Nobody wants to politically take on the NRA (National
Rifle Association) no more than anyone wanted to take on the challenges of the
Civil Rights Movement of the 60s when four little girls were killed because they
were bombed in a church. Fifty years ago, at the 16th Baptist Church in
Birmingham, Alabama an act of a terrorist took the lives of those precious
babies and marked a turning point in the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Just last
week, twenty children lost their lives in what I would call "an act of a
terrorist" and we finally have to ask ourselves, does the right to bear arms
means anything goes. "These are times that try the souls of men"--honestly I
don't have all the answers but I have a plethora of questions. How many more
have to die before we address the obvious? This is Tuesday talk.
