I love the inspiring, for me it is the very breath of God that fills my soul. But what I love more than the inspiring is honesty; honesty in how I deal and honesty in how I will allow others to deal with me. There is something liberating about being honest even when you find yourself in the most despicable of places. Am I campaigning for putting all your business on a social network? No! I am campaigning for truth when you take others on a journey that leads to what is inspiring. When you tell your story don't leave out the dark moments because those are the fabrics of what can change and inspire another life. Someone once said to me: "You are so confident and sure of yourself." I literally laughed out loud because they didn't know me at 8 years old when I was sexually abused, or at 12 years old when I spent countless nights awake worrying if I would ever be good enough. They were not there during my young adult years when I asked over and over again, "what is wrong with me?" Inspirational stories are most inspiring when peppered with the darkness before the dawn moments; but nobody really wants to hear about all the bad stuff--people are only interested in how you got to the dawn. If you are going through a dark period right now, see it as a part of your story. It will be a story only you can tell and it will be more than inspiring when it is raw, real and honest. Your "once upon a time" is going to change somebody's life. This is Tuesday talk and this is my story.

Theda, I am a firm believer in knowing that whatever our experiences are, they are not just for us. There will be opportunities to share your story, and provide some solace, help, or direction for someone hurting or in need. When that time presents itself, then you really know "why" you experienced it. #notjustforyou

Theda, I truly believe the things we have been through are not just for us. If we grasp hold of this the world would be a better place. Not only what we go through is to help others, but it let's folk know they are not alone. Someone has gone through what your going through & made it. That's why our testimonies are so important, & once we are led to share, we should be obedient, because it will bless someone.
