I prayed a prayer a few years ago about the women in my life. I asked for she is and hers; I asked for women that I could bless and those that would be a blessing to me. Be careful what you ask for, you will get it! I asked for women full of purpose, wisdom, understanding, humility, patience, love, and joy. I asked for them to be found in my city, state, nation, and world. I asked for something only God could give but not just so I could be blessed but so I could be a blessing. And low and behold God sent them to me and me to them. Women need other women...not to compete with them or to discover whose estrogen has the most power--women need the kind of grace only another woman can give. Ask yourself, have I met her? She's the kind of woman that wanders into your life and gently touches your soul. She is not a Hollywood celebrity or a one name artist; there is nothing tangible about her that suggests narcissism and yet she is a bigger-than-life heroine in your life. She is a woman; a comforter, a guide--the one that gently encourages. I believe, women are the extended presence of God in this world and without them there would be an incomplete picture. This is God's world and it would be nothing without a woman or a girl. Tuesday talk family.
