"That book is making you crazy."
"Maybe you need to take a page out of Zachary's notebook."
"A page from Zachary's notebook?" "Really?"
He is right. My sunny disposition left the house a few days ago. I need to go and find it. My obsession with this book has turned me into a mad woman. The thought of having to rewrite, polish and be patient with the process does not come natural for me. And everybody in this house knows it but me. I can't see the forest for the trees.
"Mom, you've been irritated for a few days."
"Now take a few days to relax."
My eighteen year old is a modern day prophet. Taking his advice to heart and letting Zachary's pool play be my teacher today. Today's epiphany: relaxation and patience are closely related. If not siblings, at the least they are cousins. After all, patience is not waiting but how you wait. (Brenda Vaughters that statement was right on time). Same with relaxation, it is not just chilling out but how you chill out. I'm getting in the pool today. Time to cool my spirit, mind and body. This is Tuesday talk.
